International Children's Rights Day on 20 November provides an important platform for drawing attention to children's rights worldwide. This year, the Swiss Children's Rights Network and UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein have developed a new, freely usable label to make the numerous activities surrounding this day more visible.
World Children’s Day takes place every year on November 20. On this date in 1989, the United Nations adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Many organizations and municipalities, schools and youth groups and other role players use this day to implement diverse and creative projects and events on the topic of child rights. To improve the visibility of these initiatives, Child Rights Network Switzerland (CRNS) and UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein have joined forces to design a free label that can be used in many different ways. This label brings the various initiatives relating to World Children's Day together under a single umbrella.
Advantages of the label
The label has a minimalist design that can be flexibly adapted to different communication materials. The building brick as graphic element is particularly attractive to children and allows easy recognition. The font that is used establishes a connection to the child right icons, and thus to the contents of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. As the label can be used in different colors, it can be adapted to different needs.
Platform for events
Events relating to Child Rights Day can be published on the events calendar of CRNS. This allows participants to become part of a broader movement and further improves the visibility of child rights.
Download and usage guidelines
The different label versions and usage guidelines can be downloaded from UNICEF's website.
