UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein received the Swissfundraising Award for the most successful campaign of 2023 today, achieving this accolade for the second time in succession.
UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein won with the fastest fundraising campaign in Switzerland. The campaign related to the earthquake in Türkiye and Syria on February 6, 2023. "Donors received our first communication even before the second aftershock, many of them hearing about the catastrophe for the first time," says Marc Uricher, Director of Marketing & Communication. "By the same evening, we already had a national public campaign going throughout Switzerland."
A jury of experts selected the earthquake relief campaign by UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein as the most successful campaign of 2023. The campaign was outstanding in terms of speed, donations and reach. In addition to the very high volume of donations received, a broad range of free advertising space was also donated. The most important objective - to react as quickly as possible - was also exceeded. These impressive figures convinced the jury to present UNICEF with the Swissfundraising Award for the most successful fundraising campaign of 2023.
Last year, UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein won the Swissfundraising Award for its "Ukraine 2022 - integrated emergency response campaign".
